Tekke of Frashër
The Tekke of Frashër, built in 1815, is a first category cultural monument. The
tekke has 2 separate Bektashi buildings with attractive artistic
elements, a porch, and a courtyard. The porch is paved with tuff tiles,
while the walls are carved with stones and reliefs with floral motifs.
The floors and ceilings are made of wood, the chimneys are made of
carefully carved stone and the arches of the windows are decorated. The tekke served as the headquarters of the Lidhja e Prizrenit branch.
In this tekke, in 1879, the leaders of the South met to protest and take
measures against the decisions of the Congress of Berlin, which divided
the territories of Albania.
