Explore the Hotova-Dangëlli Fir Park, one of the largest in the Balkans
Undoubtedly known as the natural lungs of southern Albania, Fir of Hotova National Park has an area of 1400 hectares and is one of the most picturesque sites of the entire country with much to offer all year round. The dense forest offers magnificent views of the Dhëmbel and Lunxhëria mountains, and for trekking enthusiasts it is possible to traverse five different itineraries marked with color charts (available with GPS maps). The park contains a diverse biodiversity and is rich in flora and fauna. It is also home to wild animals such as golden eagles, wild cats, foxes, wild boars, lynxes, and even bears and wolves in the deep areas of the forest.
